24 Hour Nurburgring: Comments after the race at the Nürburgring Ingolstadt/Nürburg, June 26, 2011 – The dream of overall victory in the 24-hour race a

Comments after the race at the NürburgringIngolstadt/Nürburg, June 26, 2011 – The dream of overall victory in the 24-hourrace at the Nürburgring was not fulfilled for Audi. The R8 LMS remains, however, unbeaten in the GT3 class. The comments after the race.Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich (Head of Audi Motorsport): “Our four Audi R8 LMS ranperfectly from the technical point of view and we also had very good performance inour class. Unfortunately two of our cars were struck by accidents. Even so, repairingthe cars took a lot of time. We were always close to a podium finish, we fought tothe bitter end and actually finally achieved this in the final 45 minutes. It was afantastic team performance and advert for the reliability of the R8 LMS. We havethree cars in the top five and all four cars raced without any technical problemsMarc Basseng (Bilstein Audi R8 LMS #14)“I’m very happy that Marcel Fässler, Frank Stippler and I rigorously implementedour program. We planned to survive the opening stages and the night withoutproblems or collisions. We managed this. In the morning we then had a car withwhich we could really attack. All three of us drove excellent double stints. This wasone of the reasons why we were able to move forward little by little and ultimatelyMarcel Fässler (Bilstein Audi R8 LMS #14)“Two incredible weekends in the space of two weeks now lie behind us. On the oneside the 24 Hours of Le Mans and on the other the 24-hour race here around theNürburgring-Nordschleife. They were both very emotional moments. I gaveabsolutely everything during each of my double stints this weekend. We were only alittle more circumspect when running during the night. It was great fun to drive thiscar. The podium result is just reward for everybody who worked in the background toprovide us with top equipment.”Frank Stippler (Bilstein Audi R8 LMS #14)“That was hard work! The pace was extremely fast and the competition very strong. Ithink there were 20 cars from many different manufacturers on the grid which wereTelephone: +49 (0)841 89 34200E-mail: motorsport-media@audi.deTelephone: +49 (0)841 89 33922E-mail: eva-maria.veith@audi.decapable of winning. I think third place this year should be judged very highly. Lastyear we would have annoyed about this. However, this learning curve was a necessityto make the next step for the following year.”Christopher Haase (Audi Sport performance cars R8 LMS #15)“One of the greatest races that I have ever contested in my life. It was in fact a 24-hour long sprint race and very interesting because of this. You can’t afford to make amistake and must nevertheless extract the maximum. This is exciting, but is also alot of fun. We started 18th and finished fourth. On top of this we were second inclass. Audi Sport Team Phoenix did a first class job. We did everything right which iswhy we can be more than just satisfied.”Marc Hennerici (Audi Sport performance cars R8 LMS #15)“The start of the race was quite difficult for me. I couldn’t feel the rain tires wellenough on in the drying conditions, which is why I lost some time. However, theguys from Audi Sport Team Phoenix worked perfectly and made incredible pit stops.Audi showed that it had prepared exceptionally well for this race. The car ransmoothly from the technical point of view. All the cars made it through to the finish. When all is said and done we can be satisfied: we are the best GT3 team, thirdoverall. It’s a little disappointing however that we gave our all but were without achance in the fight for overall victory. We want to attack again, but under newMarkus Winkelhock (Audi Sport performance cars R8 LMS #15)“After last year a podium finish was my goal again this year. But it was a turbulentrace in which we had difficulty with oversteer in our R8. For this reason we mustacknowledge that our sister car was quicker and overtook us. Otherwise we also hada trouble-free race, and made it through without incident. We can be satisfied withMattias Ekström (E-POSTBRIEF Audi R8 LMS #16)“We had a really good rhythm at the start of the race and I was convinced that wewould fight for overall victory this weekend. But then several small incidents –technical and with competitors on the track – threw us off course. We lost touch andnever really got back within striking distance. Fifth place overall and third in class isscant consolation as we came here to win.”Timo Scheider (E-POSTBRIEF Audi R8 LMS #16)“Everything started well, but then came the collision during the night, which wasannoying, but it’s exactly this that makes the 24-hour race what it is. As a result ofhard work and a great discipline we fought our way up to fifth place again. We canbe pleased with this and it’s at least just reward for the hard work done by the guysin the pits. We’ll not give up and hopefully get another chance to be at the veryMarco Werner (E-POSTBRIEF Audi R8 LMS #16)“The pace was good and it was fun to fight for second place overall at times onSunday morning. Unfortunately I had an accident. I smashed into a Mercedes whenthree cars appeared in front of us which were more or less at a standstill on thetrack. I’m really sorry for the guys. Third overall would have been much better. Nowwe can be pleased with the smaller things like third in class …”Christian Abt (PlayStation Audi R8 LMS #17)“I’m very disappointed. It’s still my great dream to win this race once for Audi andnow things didn’t work again. The weekend was still a lot of fun. Congratulations tomy team mates Luca (Ludwig) and Christer (Jöns) for such a strong performance andespecially Christopher (Mies) for recording the fastest race lap for an Audi R8 LMS.The three guys were really chomping at the bit; they never let their shoulders dropand made a fantastic impression. I hope we can compete again with this line-up.”Christer Jöns (PlayStation Audi R8 LMS #17)“Apart from our two small incidents everything was positive and the race was reallygreat fun. The car was an absolute dream. We found a good pace. It’s a shame thatwe dropped down at the beginning because of such a small thing. The Phoenix squadnevertheless claimed a podium for Audi.”Luca Ludwig (PlayStation Audi R8 LMS #17)“The result is certainly not what we had hoped for. Twelfth place is really a littledisappointing. But we lost two laps at the start due to a small relay problem. Duringthe night I unfortunately slid off the track in the wet as I was on my first lap onslicks. It cost us several laps. I’m really very sorry for the entire team which hadworked fantastically. It just shouldn’t have happened. I hope that we get anotherChristopher Mies (PlayStation Audi R8 LMS #17)“Obviously I’m not at all satisfied with twelfth place, particularly as we were thefastest car in the field for much of the time which or second fastest race lap alsoshows. When you think that we started twice from the back due to our technicalproblem at the start and the collision later on, then this is at least a little consoling. That was hard work and shows were could have finished.”Hans-Jürgen Abt (Team Boss Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline): “We came herewith the goal of winning the race – which is why the result is a little disappointingfor us. The minor defect to start and the contact which both cars suffered during thenight robbed us of any chance we had. However, our team worked hard to force itsway to the front again. We can be extremely satisfied with the team performance. That all four cars reached the finish shows the reliability of the R8. But as Team BossI would have liked to mount the top step of the podium.”Ernst Moser (Team Boss Audi Sport Team Phoenix): “It was exactly as expected:whoever makes the fewest mistakes wins this race – and this was Olaf Manthey’steam. Congratulations. Each of the four Audi R8 LMS had its own hard luck story. Allthe cars made the finish, which should never be taken for granted on theNordschleife. However, the little difficulties cost any chance of victory this yearbecause the competition was just too strong. When all is said and done we arepleased with class victory and the third step on the podium.”

FIA GT1: Round 6 – Navarra, Spain Free Practice and Pre Qualifying 1st July 2011 All-Inkl Lamborghini 1-2 on Day 1 in Spain

Round 6 – Navarra, Spain

Free Practice and Pre Qualifying

1st July 2011

All-Inkl Lamborghini 1-2 on Day 1 in Spain

FREE PRACTICE

Last year Lamborghini ruled supreme at Navarra and All-Inkl have carried on where Reiter left off by posting the two fastest times of the 80-minute Free Practice session for Round 6 of the FIA GT1 World Championship in Spain. Markus Winkelhock, in the nr38 All-Inkl.com Munnich Motorsport Lamborghini Murcielago 670 R-SV with a 1:37.639 lap, 0.265s ahead of Dominik Schwager in the nr37 All-Inkl Lamborghini. The nr22 JR Motorsports Nissan GT-R of Richard Westbrook and Peter Dumbreck were third fastest, just 0.008s behind the second placed Lamborghini and 0.052 quicker than the nr11 Exim Bank Team China Corvette of Mike Hezemans and Nico Verdonck.

PRE-QUALIFYING

The two All-Inkl.com Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini Murcielagos were once again filling the top two places on the timing sheet after the Pre Qualifying session. However in a change from Free Practice it was the nr37 Lambo of Dominik Schwäger and Nicky Pastorelli that was ahead of the nr38 car of Markus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng. The nr37 car posted a time of 1m36.743, with the nr38 car 0.074s slower. The nr11 Exim Bank Team China Corvette of Mike Hezemans and Nico Verdonck was once again the fastest non Lamborghini in the session finishing 0.467s behind the faster of the two Lamborghinis and ahead of the nr40 Marc VDS Racing Team Ford GT of Bas Leinders and Marc Hennerici.

CLICK HERE for the result from Pre Qualifying

Qualifying will take place at 11:15 (CET) tomorrow morning (Saturday 2 July).

Dominik Schwäger

nr37 All-Inkl Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini Murcielago 670 R-SV

"I am very happy with our position today but tomorrow is the important day where we will have to make sure we get it together for Qualifying. Last year we were quick but had some issues – it was also a bit cooler. I am really looking forward to the race."

Markus Winkelhock

nr38 All-Inkl Münnich Motorsport Lamborghini Murcielago 670 R-SV

"I haven’t driven this track before so the most important thing for me today was to learn the track. We are not in bad shape and the car is pretty quick as was Marc (Basseng) so we should aim for the front end of the field tomorrow in Qualifying – maybe the first and second row should be possible."

Bertrand Baguette

nr41 Marc VDS Racing Team Ford GT Matech

"Today went quite well actually considering it is my first time in a GT car since 2008. It’s good to be back in these cars as they are a lot of fun to drive. Obviously they are much different to the single seater cars I have driven in the past. For this weekend we will see how the car performs on new tyres tomorrow but overall I am happy. We will aim to make it into Q3 tomorrow and hope we can maintain a good showing."

Andrea Piccini

nr4 Hexis AMR Aston Martin DB9

"I think the sessions went well today and we showed we have some decent pace which I hope we can take into the rest of the weekend. I would say we are well prepared for tomorrow’s Qualifying session. Navarra Circuit is definitely not the best suited track for our car but we must try to do our best and hope we can finish on the podium on Sunday and score some good points."

Clivio Piccione

nr3 Hexis AMR Aston Martin DB9

"We tried a few different set ups on the car today and used different sets of tyres to see what the pace of the car is. I’m pretty confident and the balance of the car is good. It is really warm here so we were looking at how the tyres will behave so we are prepared for the rest of the weekend. The aim for tomorrow’s Qualifying session is for sure to get into Q3 and to be as far forward as we can and get as many points as possible. It’s very important for us to score a lot of points here this weekend for the championship fight."

Nick Catsburg

Nr20 Sumo Power GT Nissan GT-R

"Today was my very first race sessions in the Nissan at a race weekend and also this circuit is new for me as well so I was learning everything from new. I am quite satisfied but to be honest we need to find some more pace because the car was difficult to drive. We’ll continue to work hard for the rest of the weekend – my hope is we can make the top five in tomorrow’s Qualifying session."

Richard Westbrook

Nr22 JR Motorsport Nissan GT-R

“We were actually quite pleased with Pre-Qualifying today. This is a track that you wouldn’t associate with the Nissan running well on but we are making the best of what we have. The GT-R is performing well considering it is a slow and twisty circuit. The Lamborghini’s and Ford’s look quick but we are confortable with our race pace. Tomorrow, we hope to get to Q3.”

Mike Hezemans

Nr11 Exim Bank Team China Corvette Z06

"The two practice sessions today went OK – the track is pretty straight forward and fairly slow to drive. The car is running fine but we lose a lot of traction so we have to find a way to keep on going in the race. We will try to get as close as possible to the front of the field but first we’ll see how Qualifying goes for us tomorrow."

[Honda-C70] Return of the red 81 part 2

I just broke 40mph!
Changed the oil, replaced the tail/stop light bulb. replaced the neutral, hi-beam, and dash light bulbs (found those at my local Honda shop). Adjusted the brakes and away I went off out of the sunset. Down River Road past the 20mph speed zone to the 35mph area and there I hit 40mph then a little faster with throttle to spare! Along the way I also crossed the 2k mile mark on the odometer. Not bad for a 30 year old bike. I'll putt around tomorrow and take a few photos.

[Honda-C70] FOR SALE - 1981 Angel Blue C70

Hello Lads and Ladies,
I bought this '81 from a collector in VT 2.5 yrs ago and did a thorough clean-up with the intention of my wife riding it around the city. Turns out I'm only riding it occasionally so it's time to make some room in the garage.
The bike is located in Knoxville, TN. It is VERY clean, has a clear TN title, 1,216 original miles, new tires and carb, original tool kit and owners manual, original dual seat and after-market solo seat, original (a little beat up) basket and brand new front basket as well as a box of assorted parts including the original carb and Angel Blue touch-up paint. When ridden weekly, it always fires on the first kick. Here's the bad news: I never bothered to fix the electric start and the leg shield is cracked (see photos). After watching this site for the last 2 years, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a Passport in better condition. It is ready to ride RIGHT NOW!

I'm asking $1375.00 OBO (and I WILL consider all offers) I will also consider deliveries within 100 mi of Knoxville depending on my schedule.
You may reach me at stevenrhancock@yahoo.com or at 865 603 2162.

Check out the photos at the link below and thanks for looking!

Maggie : I can relate to Larry being bored . But the seat cover is best done when the cover has been in the sun an hour or so to get warm & stretchy. So if Larry gets a burst of energy &" helps " , let him have fun. Probably better than me planning to go fishing & just sitting in a chair under my shade tree watching the robins eat all the worms in my yard. Baby Huey

Subject: [Honda-C70] Larry 'stole' my weekend project..

He said it was my fault, I left the box at his house..so he's taken the gas tank off the blue bike, cleaned it, took off, cleaned and re-assembled the carb, got the new gasket on the fuel tank, put on new fuel lines, I didn't ask if he did the planned oil change too..maybe he forgot and I might get to do something mechanical/maintenance wise on My own bike...
the seat cover I ordered for his bike came so now he can play with that--unless he already did it while I was at work.
When it gets hot or humid he's back in the house with the air on..but that seat could easily go in the house if he got it off...
This is a very bored retired man, who might get to 'help' on a '30's Shovelhead that a pal at work has, was willed to him by a friend, he's thinking about getting it running again, does not have internet so I said to write down the info and I will play on line..
Work pal needs more in his life than the woman who just dumped him--when he quit forking over $$$. 1of the guys is trying to get him hooked up with the wife's cousin, I'm encouraging him to do some things fun that he's not made the time for..his kids are 21 now, coming to visit for a family wedding, he helps care for his aging mother. . . me thinks he needs encouraged to work on his inherited bike..
And the bike in the Philippines, it's sort of a family joke--ex asks me to do stuff, or gets Jake to ask me, or calls me to get me to ask Jake (in the Marines) so I thought it was my turn...and we know Maggie thinks Honda Passports are like Lay's potato chips. . . .Maggie in IL (who wanted to clean and rebuild her own carb)

DTM Norisring 2011

At a press conference held in the run-up to the fifth round of the DTM season, staged by Nuremberg’s Norisring, DTM aces Christian Vietoris, Jamie Green and Timo Scheider answered the questions of the local media representatives. The event was held in the ‘Museum fur Kommunikation’, with an Audi A4 DTM and an AMG Mercedes C-Class being showcased in the building’s atrium.

“I will have to cope with massive pressure on the Norisring weekend,” Vietoris admitted with a twinkle in his eyes. “After all, Jamie has won the Norisring round three times, with the C-Class I’m racing this year, thus demonstrating that it has got what it takes to succeed in Nuremberg.” Meanwhile, Green wants to continue his streak of Norisring wins but is well aware that doing so won’t be easy: “I’d love to secure my fourth consecutive win in this race,” he says, “But talking a look at the first for rounds of the season you can see that the DTM racing is extremely close, this year.” Timo Scheider, however, made clear that he is determined to prevent Green from making it four Norisring wins in a row. “It’s the most prestigious race of the season and I want to take this trophy to Ingolstadt”, he stressed. “The race enjoys a special status as the circuit represents an extreme, due to its characteristics. And nowhere else, we DTM drivers have closer contact to our supporters. I truly am looking forward to the Norisring.”

DTM Norisring 2011

The support program of the only street race on the DTM calendar will feature an additional highlight. On Sunday afternoon, new Le Mans winner Benoît Treluyer will have the honor to present his winning car – the R15 TDI – to the Norisring crowds. The demonstration laps with the diesel powered sports prototype have been scheduled for 12:05hrs CEST (11:05hrs BST).

Tickets for the highlight of the DTM season still are available in nearly every category. They can be ordered at the ‘DTM-Ticketline’, +49 (0) 1805/723000 (14ct/min from the German landline / maximum mobile-call price 42ct/min) or online at www.dtm.com. All the tickets are so called ‘Combi-tickets’, granting the ticket holder access to the circuit, the respective grandstand and the paddock.

Virtually every system in the sedan is new or upgraded for 2011, giving the Chrysler 200 Limited its own identity and space in the highly competitive mid-size sedan segment.  Exterior and sheet metal upgrades include a new front and rear fascias and fenders, a new five-blade chrome grille featuring the new Chrysler brand winged badge, a new hood with scalloped center, new LED positioning light pipe in the front headlamp clusters, a new rear deck lid and exterior mirrors, new projector beam headlamps and foglamps, new LED taillamps and an LED center high-mounted stoplight, new dual exhaust with chrome tips, new chrome pull-out door handles and new chrome power-remote/heated sideview mirrors.  The new styling is sleeker, lower, more elegant and more contemporary.  I like what the Chrysler designers have accomplished.

The new 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited provides drivers an agile, more confident, handling performance in all driving situations, whether it's commuting to work, a weekend adventure on twisty roads or going out with family and friends.  Virtually every part of the suspension has been retuned or redesigned for 2011 including 26 of 30 suspension bushings for a quieter and more controlled ride.  Up front is an independent MacPherson strut setup with coil springs over gas-charged shocks, and a stabilizer bar.  The rear independent multi-link setup includes coil springs, gas-charged shocks, link-type stabilizer bar in an isolated suspension cradle to lesson noise, vibration and harshness.

The track is an inch wider, tire width has been increases from 215 to 225mm and the car has been lowered 12mm in front and 6mm in the rear for a lower, wider, more substantial stance. A new strut tower brace stiffens the front suspension and enhances the standard power-assisted rack & pinion steering system to give instant reaction to your steering inputs.  No more floating on the road like last year's Sebring.  The performance of the suspension is top-notch for a front-wheel drive sedan.  You'll drive with confidence in the new 200 and experience less body roll, reduced vehicle shake on uneven road surfaces, improved isolation on rough roads, better steering precision, response and feel and increased grip with new premium Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires. There is virtually no torque-steer at launch as you zoom out to 60mph from a standstill in just 6sec.

Powering the all-new Chrysler 200 Limited is the new 3.6 liter Pentastar DOHC, 24-valve, VVT, all aluminum V6 engine that offers customers the best of both world's-best-in-class V6 horsepower-283hp at 6,400rpm and 260lb.ft. of torque at 4,400rpm-and exceptional fuel economy of 19mpg/city and 29mpg/highway.

This more powerful and fuel efficient V6 engine is mated to the 62TE six-speed automatic transmission with adaptive electronic control/AutoStick manual shifter with an electronically modulated torque converter clutch.  You can sit back and drive in full automatic or push the stick back into AutoStick and shift as you want, all the up to redline to get the most performance from the engine.

Slowing the all-new Chrysler 200 Limited down from speed are new, larger, more powerful brakes.  Up front are 11.5in. vented discs clamped by single-piston calipers while 10.3in. solid discs are clamped with single-piston calipers in the rear.  Standard ABS, BA, electronic stability control and traction control help keep you in control during severe braking maneuvers.

Cabin quietness has been significantly upgraded, resulting in one of the quietest cabins in the segment, and allowing passengers to enjoy their conversations, largely devoid of outside noise.  Noise, vibration and harshness were reduced and 45 new sound deadening treatments were added, including an acoustic glass windshield, laminated side glass usually found in higher priced vehicles, and new sound absorption materials throughout the car.

With the all-new interior for 2011, customers will step into a level of craftsmanship, content and comfort that is world-class.  The all-new instrument panel, bezels, gauge face and new Chrysler steering wheel transform the driver's seat into an elegant atmosphere.  Upgraded seats with a new design that incorporates more cushion material and revised spring geometry, as well as new leather and cloth seating materials, envelop you and passenger.   Designers developed the new 2011 Chrysler 200 sedan with new 'soft touch' armrest and instrument panel and new, premium interior finishes for touch points that are not only pleasing to the touch, but also to the eye such as the black piano veneer trim on the center stack and center console.  The new Chrysler clock is elegant and the new heating and cooling outlets on the instrument panel offer improved design and functionality and complete the beautifully detailed interior.  The rear seats are split 60/40 to expand the cargo carrying capacity and the rear seat has a pull-down armrest with dual cupholders and pass-thru.

The new Chrysler 200 offers customers innovative features to keep them connected and make the drive something to look forward to.  Features include new ambient interior lighting and a new Chrysler brand steering wheel with integrated controls to operate the radio, cruise control, a center console with dual cupholders, padded, two-tier storage box that slides fore/aft, hands free phone and other vehicle functions while keeping their hands on the wheel.  Drivers stay connected with an available media center with voice command that is easy to use and offers radio, SIRIUS satellite radio, a 30 gigabyte hard drive, iPod connectivity, streaming music capability and a navigation system with SIRIUS travel link.

Standard equipment on the all-new 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited include variable-intermittent wipers/washers, AC with automatic temperature control, leather trimmed bucket seats, 8-way powered driver seat/manual front passenger seat, heated front seats, grab handles in the rear above each door, 6.5in. touch screen, 6-speaker AM-FM-CD-SIRIUS stereo radio, cruise control, rear window defroster, remote USB port, beefy tilt/telescope leather wrapped steering wheel, power windows/door locks with front express up/down, self-dimming rearview mirror, dual lighted vanity mirrors, storage slots in front seats, map pocket behind driver's seatback, chrome inside door handles, single-needle white contrasting stitching, automatic headlamps, premium front/rear floor mats.  My 200 Limited came equipped with these options-the 3.6 liter V6 engine, engine oil cooler, dual chrome exhaust tips, 6-Boston Acoustic speakers, Media Center with CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/Garmin navigation system.  The total price for this nicely loaded Chrysler 200 is just $27,600.00.  Thousands less the a comparably equipped mid-size sedan.

An abundance of standard safety and security features include advanced multi-stage front passenger airbag/driver front airbag, active head restraints, front seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, LATCH child seat anchor system, 3-point safety belts for all passengers with front load limiters/pretentioners, front/rear crumple zones, steel beams in each door, rear door child protective locks, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, Sentry Key theft deterrent system, security alarm, optional Uconnect voice command with Bluetooth, remote start, and a universal garage door opener.

The standard mid-size sedan segment is the largest vehicle segment in the U.S. and the new 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited is uniquely positioned as an exciting alternative for customers that want style and substance, all at a surprising value.

RE: [Honda-C70] No Headlights/Brake lights/Neutral ...

Jim : The battery is the only voltage regulator . Headlight runs on AC current direct from the generator. If the battery is dead weak or missing the headlight gets too much power & burns out . The rest of the lights run on DC power from the battery. I guess the electric starter not working tried to warn you the battery was weak & needed service or replaced. Horn not working or turn signals that flash a few times then just stay on is the second chance to " fix the battery" before bulbs start burning out. On the other hand neutral light not working could mean the neutral safety switch was the cause of the electric starter not working & the kicker was not affected. Good Luck ! Baby Huey

... but the Turn signals are perfect! Have I blown all the bulbs at the same time? When the neutral light didn't come on at the start of the season I kick-started the bike and it ran okay.

The bike is a 1982 C70 - 12-volt system.

Is there a regulator or something I should check? As you may be able to tell, I am not very mechanically inclined ... but just love this little underpowered scooter!

Jim

Hey group, my buddy bought a pretty nice red 82 passport but the fork tube is
broke right at the upper bearing. Any members have the front fork assembly they
might be willing to part with? Thanks, Scott

[Honda-C70] Re: Flasher relay

Thanks for the advice !!! This group has been really helpful to me on many things. So I purchased a new battery and headlight because both were shot and I also got a new flasher relay. I went to my local honda shop and things were pretty expensive but i was more confident that I would get better fitting and functioning parts there than from ebay. My headlight works now of course and the flashers do come on but they aren't blinking. Anyone have any thoughts on this??? Scott

I haven't needed to work on her much in the years that I've been riding and so unfortunately I am a bit inexperienced. Last week My headlight and blinkers all stopped working simultaneously but the tail light still works. At first I thought I might need a new battery but then I noticed that there are two leads next to the battery that were hanging free. I purchased a manual before trying anything and it looks like someone has stolen my flasher relay. Does it make sense that the absence of the relay would cause this lighting issue?
