Audi R8 e-tron The First Supercar Zero Emission In The World

We are glad to hear that the Audi R8 Audi R8 will soon release the e-tron as a limited edition production vehicle in late 2012. This concept car was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 ago, looks much like an Audi R8, but the size, slightly smaller, and now Audi has officially announced the creation of new e-tron Audi R8 which will soon be brought to the U.S. market in year 2013 as a high-powered sports car to drive and also to make pure electric cars that could qualify as the first zero-emission supercars in the world.

Some manufacturers have toyed with the idea of ??a high-end sports cars using electric power, but they are reluctant to make cars available to consumers. But the latest news says that Audi has launched a series of pictures depict the production phase of e-tron Audi R8 at Neckarsulm factory satellite sites in Heilbronn-Biberach as employees began building the first technology platform for electric models. The first series of small units for electric sports car will run in late 2012 that will soon be brought to the U.S. market later in 2013.

A design with a very light weight is a major prerequisite for the efficiency, coverage of travel, and the powerful capabilities of this car. Although the battery weight 1,212.54 lbs, Audi R8 e-tron is able to come to the end of the curb weight of £ 3,527.40, this is because engineers Audi R8 e-tron using one of the company’s core competency: the body uses aluminum material and are designed with the Audi Space Frame technology (ASF ), it weighs less than 200 kilograms (440.92 pounds). Light body is an important reason why the Audi R8 e-tron weight in just 1,600 kg (£ 3,527.40). Special package from Audi’s technology platform provides an e-Tron Audi 42:58 weight distribution between front and rear and therefore as to ensure perfect balance and driving dynamics. There is a double wishbone suspension triangle positioned at the front while the rear get-trapezoidal link rear suspension. This is balanced with wheels size 19 inch.

The Interior and the Control Concept unlike the standard model, the Audi R8 e-tron has a graphic display for showing the driving mode. The display lies between the two large round instruments, with the left one presenting the recuperation status and the output. The driver can select the level of recuperation by means of one-touch switches on the steering wheel, and thereby directly influence energy recovery and the braking power of the electric motors in order to increase the e-tron’s range.

A lithium-ion battery 470kg (1036 pounds) is located in front of the rear axle and provides a range of about 248 km (154 mi). Charging time takes about 6-8 hours when the battery is in a state completely empty. And sources also very easy pengisianya in gain, ie using only the power of everyday household voltage volts/16 230 Ampere, and down to around 2.5 hours when high voltage is used. During braking the car can also convert the energy supplied into a useful resource for electronic systems help to expand coverage.

Audi R8 e-tron is a high-powered sports car with pure electric drive, all the way down to the design. Provides four engines electric motors (two on the front axle and two on the rear axle), he was able to issue a total maximum power output of 230 kW (313 hp) as mentioned earlier. Not to mention doing 0 to 100 km / h (62.14 mph) in just 4.8 seconds. Audi R8 e-tron has a top speed electronically limited to 200 km / hour.

System of four-wheel-drive Audi R8 correct e-tron makes it possible to become a full fledged Quattro cars. The system is able to provide balanced power to the front and rear wheels, but would prefer to give 70% to the rear wheels and 30% to the front wheels when conditions are normal. By having four motors actually separate the onboard computer is also capable of making small adjustments to the power output so that the understeer and oversteer can be repaired.
