Kawasaki KFX700 review

From its super-aggressive styling to its tradition breaking technicals innovations, every inch of the Kawasaki KFX700 screams attitude. As the first and only Sports ATV to feature a CVT automatic transmission and shaft drive, the big KFX is out to make a name for itself. The Kawasaki KFX 700 received an all new chassis featuring a single spar lower front frame tube. This design maximizes front A-arm length and minimizes bump steer. Dual A-arms replace the Prairies McPherson struts and deliver 9.4 inches of preload adjustable front suspension travel.

The 700ccm rear end also utilizes the Prairies sealed multi disks rear brake system, which keeps the rear brakes completely protected from the dangers of rocks and mud. Braking up front is provided by dual hydraulic disk brakes with dual piston calipers. The KFX697cc water cooled V-twin motor is fed by dual 32mm Keihn carburetors. The powerplant puts out tons of torque and usable power over a seamless RPM range. Feeding the Kawasaki KFX700S 4valve SOHC liquid 4 stroke cylinders are a pair of Keihn 32mm carburetors. Instead of mounting the KFX air-box in the conventional location under the seat, they mounted it higher up where the gas tank would normally reside.

Gaining access to the air filter for maintenance is a snap with no tools required. With a dry weight of 517 lbs, Kawasaki mounted the machines 3.2 gallon fuel tank under the seat in order to help lower the machines center of gravity. With a width of 47 inches and a wheelbase of 50.8 inches the KFX numbers are indicative of a stable machine in spite of its heavy dry weight. More specs and user manual of Kawasaki KFX 700 you can see in next overview.
