Recently, Nissan Leaf obtained an honor from Euro NCAP: 5 star overall safety rating, due to the automaker’s awareness toward the explosion possibility caused by high voltage. In a test drive that was held few days ago, this car is not only showing impressive performance of an electric car, but also top safety aspects. The safety test is including frontal, Pole, Side, Pedestrian, Whiplash and ESC Test.
The test drive of Nissan Leaf, which was including safety test drive, was held in Europe; electric car enthusiasts can now watch the test video result in any automotive media. Anyway, 2011 Nissan Leaf is the automaker’s new flagship in electric car segment that is considered as the first electric car with full-electric mainstream feature. On the official debut of this car, the automaker explained that it is rechargeable with 220-volt charger for 4 to 8 hours only. The electric engine in the car delivers 107 horsepower with 207 lb/ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful electric cars.
