Bimota SB8K Gobert review

New ideas do not unnerve us, they have led to the development of a new injection system with radial geometry which optimises the usability of the engine. The Bimota traditions that reach back in time to the TT1 world title win of Virginio Ferraris YB 4 and were reinforced through a long series of successes in national and international championships, culminated in the birth in 2000 of the Bimota SB8K Gobert, a pure racing machine designed to create unparalleled riding emotions.

The electronic engine management is carried out by a sophisticated ECU which guarantees the most efficient performance of the unit, based on the operation and load conditions. The ECU also controls every electrical system and immediately communicates any kind of problem to the user. In addition to these basic tasks, the ECU is also capable of handling different mappings, which can be chosen manually by the rider, depending on the setting of the motorcycle or intended environment of use (normal, sporting or racing modes).
