Triumph Rocket III review

The Triumph Rocket III has defined a unique niche in the clone like performance cruisers market where it sits in a class of its own thanks to its striking looks, stunning performance and incredible specification. At 2294ccm its the worlds largest capacity production motorcycle. But, despite the impressive capacity of this amazing machine, it was designed first and foremost to be ridden. A good turning circle, seamless fuel injection and a low center of gravity combine to make manoeuvring at low speed surprisingly easy. The torque produced by the 2300ccm engines is not only profound, it is very well managed. Max of 141 foot-pounds @2500rpm, but torque comes on right off throttle, reaching 140 foot pounds quickly and remaining in peak range for another 1500rpm. Conveniently, this is the range of rpm where most street riding is done, so the Rocket III Triumph pilot is always in the grunt, at least until the motor is wound above 5000 rpm where horse power becomes the name of the game (132.4 @6250rpm). Keep in mind thats 30 more horsies than the Rockets next in displacement heavyweight contender, the Vulcan 2000, dishes out thanks to the Triumphs late-breaking redline of 6250rpm, compared to the Kawasakis 4750rpm cutoff. More specs and user manual of Rocket III you can see in next overview.
